Why appliances deserve their own routine

What to check
When you inspect, work through the same points every time:
- Cleanliness: make sure the appliance is clean before you photograph it.
- Function: switch each one on and confirm it works.
- Visible damage: look for scratches, dents and cracked panels.
- Accessories: confirm remotes, filters and manuals are present.
Photograph the detail
Photos document the current state and give you something to compare against later. Capture:
- the TV screen both on and off;
- the inside of the fridge and freezer;
- the control panel of the air conditioning unit.
A photo of a screen that is switched on is worth more than one of a dark screen — it shows the display was working, not just that the unit was present.
